Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Job Pod UK website, jobpod.uk (the "Site"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Site and services provided through it. By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

  1. About the Site
  • Job Pod UK is an online directory that connects users with local tradespeople and small businesses. The Site provides listings, contact details, user reviews, and tools to create, claim or manage business listings.
  • The Site is operated by Ben Gardiner trading as Job Pod UK (referred to in these Terms as "we", "us" or "our"). Contact details are available on the Site.
  1. Eligibility
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site.
  • By using the Site you represent and warrant that you are legally able to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction.
  1. Use of the Site
  • The Site and its content are for lawful, personal and business use only. You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that infringes third‑party rights.
  • You must not (and must not attempt to) interfere with or compromise the security or proper functioning of the Site.
  1. Accounts, Registration and Security
  • To create or claim a listing, contact businesses through certain features, or access other services, you may need to register for an account and provide accurate, current information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login information and for any activity carried out under your account.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  1. Listings and Content
  • Businesses and tradespeople ("Advertisers") may create and manage their own listings. Advertisers are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness and legality of their listings and any content they upload (including images, prices, descriptions, qualifications and contact details).
  • We do not pre‑screen every listing. While we may moderate, verify or remove listings at our discretion, we do not guarantee accuracy or quality.
  • You agree not to post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, infringing, obscene, abusive or otherwise unlawful.
  • We may remove or edit listings or user‑generated content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
  1. Reviews and Ratings
  • Users may be able to post reviews and ratings of listed businesses. Reviews must be based on genuine experiences and must not be fraudulent, defamatory, discriminatory or infringing.
  • We may remove reviews that violate these Terms or appear to be fake or malicious. We do not verify the truth of individual reviews and are not responsible for their content.
  1. Transactions, Quotes and Contracts Between Users and Advertisers
  • The Site may allow users and Advertisers to communicate, request quotes, arrange work and enter into contracts. Any transaction, contract, payment or agreement entered into between a user and an Advertiser is solely between those parties.
  • We are not a party to any contract for services between users and Advertisers and do not guarantee any work, quality, timelines or outcomes. We accept no liability for disputes, losses or damages arising from such interactions.
  • If a paid booking or payment facility is offered on the Site, separate terms and payment processing provider terms may apply.
  1. Payments, Fees and Listing Promotions
  • Certain features (such as promoted listings, premium placements or other paid services) may require payment. Fees, billing methods and refund policies will be set out on the Site at the point of purchase.
  • All payments are non‑refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • The Site, its design, graphics, logos, text, software and other materials (excluding user‑generated content) are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws and are owned or licensed by us.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit or distribute any content from the Site except with our prior written consent or where expressly permitted.
  • Advertisers retain ownership of their own uploaded content but grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free licence to use, reproduce, publish and display such content on the Site and for related promotional purposes.
  1. Privacy
  • Our Privacy Policy (available on the Site) explains how we collect, use and share personal information. By using the Site you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in that policy.
  1. Prohibited Conduct You must not:
  • Use the Site to post or transmit unlawful, deceptive, abusive, harassing, threatening, harmful, defamatory or obscene material.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or business.
  • Send unsolicited marketing messages or spam through the Site.
  • Attempt to access or interfere with other users' accounts or the Site's systems.
  1. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
  • The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for purpose, accuracy, completeness and non‑infringement.
  • We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error‑free.
  • Subject to mandatory consumer rights under applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site is limited to direct damages up to the amount of any fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or GBP 100 if you have not paid fees).
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data or business interruption.
  1. Indemnity
  • You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us and our officers, directors, employees and agents harmless from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the Site or your interactions with other users or Advertisers.
  1. Termination and Suspension
  • We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Site at any time and without notice if you breach these Terms or for operational, safety or legal reasons.
  • You may close your account by following the account deletion process on the Site. Termination will not affect rights and obligations that arose prior to termination.
  1. Third‑party Links and Services
  • The Site may contain links to third‑party websites, services or resources. We are not responsible for the content, terms, privacy practices or availability of third‑party sites. Linking does not imply endorsement.
  • If you use third‑party payment processors or other services, their terms and privacy policies also apply.
  1. Disputes and Governing Law
  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where you have statutory consumer rights to bring proceedings in your local courts.
  1. Changes to these Terms
  • We may amend these Terms from time to time. When changes are significant, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by posting a prominent notice on the Site). Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
  1. Complaints and Reporting Abuse
  • To report a listing, review or other content that you believe violates these Terms, or to raise a complaint, contact us using the details on the Site. Provide sufficient information for us to investigate.
  1. Severability
  • If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
  1. Entire Agreement
  • These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other documents expressly referred to, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the Site.
